Remember Octomom? the 49-year-old has now become a grandmother

She was subjected to intense media scrutiny when she gave her to octuplets in 2009. For the last few years, there has been no news from her. Now, there is a big update! Keep reading to know more.

Nadya Suleman became world-famous when she gave birth to octuplets in 2009. When she delivered her eight babies, she was already a mother to 6 children which led to her becoming a mother to a total of 14 children.

Now, the mom of 14, Nadya Suleman, has revealed on Instagram that she has become a grandmother. The 49-year-old posted a picture of her little grandchild’s tiny foot peeking out from a pink blanket and accompanied the picture with a caption.

“Thanks to my son and my lovely daughter-in-law for giving us this beautiful gift! We are so blessed that she is the newest addition to our family! Little girl, you are so truly loved, and we can’t wait to see you grow up!! 8/30/24,” she wrote.

Nadya Suleman had a lot of conversations with her fertility doctor. She was the subject of intense media attention when she became the first woman to give birth to octuplets, all of whom were viable.

The octuplets were born on January 26, 2009, and the intense attention from the press led Nadya Suleman to create a persona that was not truly representative of herself.

“I was pretending to be a fake, a caricature, which is something I’m not, and I was doing it out of desperation and scarcity so I could provide for my family,” she said on the phone in October. “I’ve been hiding from the real world all my life,” Nadya Suleman told The New York Times in 2018.

She also explained that she was on the brink of a dark hole and that there were no healthy options for her as “Octomom,” so she just did and said whatever she was told to do.

The lesson, however, was that the fall is hard when you pretend to be something you’re not, she explained in the interview.

Today, Nadya Suleman lives with her children in a three-bedroom house in Orange County, California, along with the cats Mimi and Penelope.

In 2021, she announced on Instagram that she is working on a book about her experiences, although no release date has been set yet.

Well, congratulations to Nadya on becoming a grandmother! We wish her the best of luck in this new chapter in her life! Share this with others who might be wondering what the ‘Octomom’ is up to.
