Trump Comes To Pam Bondi’s Defense Amid Epstein Controversy

President Trump took to Truth Social on Saturday to defend Attorney General Pam Bondi after backlash erupted over a Justice Department memo released last week putting to rest the case regarding late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Bondi has publicly stated there’s no “client list,” and said no further files will be released. That shocked and angered many in the MAGA base, especially after her earlier promises of full transparency.

In response to the fallout, Trump backed her up, calling her “FANTASTIC” and warning that division within the movement only plays into the hands of the left.

“What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals’?” Trump wrote. “They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening.”

He warned that Epstein’s name was being used again to create chaos inside the movement.

“For years, it’s Epstein, over and over again,” Trump said. “Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration?”

According to a memo from the DOJ and FBI, Epstein died by suicide in 2019. The memo also claimed there was no incriminating “client list,” and no blackmail of high-powered elites, something many supporters have refused to accept without more proof.

Trump didn’t hold back, saying the entire Epstein narrative is being weaponized the same way the Russia hoax and the fake Steele Dossier were.

“Why didn’t these Radical Left Lunatics release the Epstein Files if there was anything in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement?” he asked. “They haven’t even given up on the JFK or Martin Luther King Jr Files.”

He pointed to the success of his administration and said nothing will distract him from the real priorities: the border, the economy, energy, national security, and election integrity.

“We’re about to achieve more in 6 months than any administration has in 100 years,” Trump said. “We are MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and that’s our complete PRIORITY.”

He also called on Kash Patel and the FBI to shift their focus to real crimes, election fraud, political corruption, and shady operations like ActBlue, instead of rehashing the Epstein case.

“LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB, SHE’S GREAT,” he added. “The 2020 Election was Rigged and Stolen, and they tried to do the same thing in 2024. That’s what she’s looking into as AG.”

There are also reports of a rift behind the scenes. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino is said to have clashed with Bondi and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles over the Epstein case. Sources say Bongino has threatened to walk away if Bondi remains in her post.

But Trump made one thing clear as he wrapped up his message: “Let’s not waste time and energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about.”

A new review of the Epstein case is causing turmoil inside the Justice Department, with Bondi and Bongino now at odds, according to multiple reports.

According to sources familiar with the matter, Bongino didn’t show up to work on Friday after having a heated discussion with Bondi earlier in the week regarding her handling of the case, CBS News reported.

One FBI source called his absence a “pressing issue” for the bureau.

The conflict comes after days of fallout over a Justice Department and FBI memo on Epstein, which claimed he died by suicide and that there was no “client list” or evidence of blackmailing powerful individuals.

Sources said Bondi and Bongino clashed during a meeting at the White House on Wednesday over how the Epstein findings were rolled out.

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles was also in the meeting, which was first reported by Axios. Two sources told CBS News that Bongino is considering resigning because of the backlash.
